Organic Celery Seed
The word celery comes from Greek selinon (parsley). The ancient Greek colony of Selinous, on Sicily, was named after the wild parsley that grew there. Celery is grown for its stalk, leaf and seeds. Celery oil is also used in the perfume and pharmaceutical industries. Celery seeds are used whole as a spice, and ground with salt to make celery salt.

Celery is often used as a bas for soups such as chicken noodle soup. It is also frequently found in Cajun cuisine in to flavor Bloody Mary drinks. Celery is recommended in high-fiber diets and is a good source of calcium.
Organic production fosters cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Organic Program (NOP) develops, implements, and administers national production, handling, and labeling standards. Organic farming excludes or strictly limits the use of manufactured fertilizers, pesticides (which include herbicides, insecticides and fungicides), plant growth regulators such as hormones, livestock antibiotics, food additives, and genetically modified organisms.
